The Company
Subcreations Productions, LLC. is based out of Roanoke, Virginia. Formed in 2003, Subcreations Productions has produced a number of shorts and will soon be moving towards full-length features. Subcreations Productions is proud to be an independent film company, allowing us to take risks in writing, filming, and storytelling.We willingly accept scripts as well as audition tapes for actors who desire to work on a Subcreations film.
B.C. Snyder
B.C. (Ben) Snyder is the founder and guiding force for Subcreations Productions. Snyder graduated from Campbell University in 2002 with a degree in English.
During his college studies, he experimented with the art of storytelling both through reading the stories of the past and creating stories for the future. Film remained
his principle goal throughout his educational career. Since graduation, Snyder has worked on crews and with film companies across NC.
In 2003, Snyder decided the time had come to start his own company committed to putting quality, independent films of all genres into the marketplace.
As a writer and director, B.C. Snyder has worked hard to maintain a high standard of quality and artistry in every Subcreations Productions film.

Gabe Morris
Gabe Morris met Snyder at Campbell University. Snyder was taken with Morris's ability to write intriguing dialogue that is both emotional and humorous. They first teamed together to produce the film version of Song of the Lesbian Pirates a script that Morris had written while at CU. Since completing work on the short version of Song, Morris has continued working closely with Snyder, polishing scripts and helping to develop ideas for new Subcreations films.Danny Eckler
Danny Eckler resides in Richmond VA. Eckler has worked as a crew member on films across the East Coast. He has served as cinematographer on four projects for Snyder. His eye for lighting has been an invaluable asset to the quality of Subcreations films. Danny also owns Deckler Films with which he produced his first short film, The Sting written by Ben Snyder and Gabe Morris.
Matt Lawson
Matt Lawson resides in the metropolis of Raliegh North Carolina and is the creator extraordinaire of the ever popular Bleed: The Online Series. His production company, TaterFight Productions and his partner Jonathan Cook (thier not gay, they just work together) plan to make many more creative progeny together.
Jess Nakaska (Writer/Producer: Palindrome Productions)
Jess Nakaska is a graduate of the Professional Program in Screenwriting where he studied under Jack B. Sowards (Bonanza, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan), Tim Albaugh (Trading Favors), and Alex Metcalf (Boy of Pigs, Red Team). He is also currently in the MFA program in Screenwriting at Hollins University. Wendigo, which was written at UCLA, was runner-up for 2006’s Scriptshark Insider Screenplay Competition. It has also been a finalist in the 2005 Open Door Contest sponsored by Kaplan-Perrone and the 2004 LA Screamfest Screenplay Competition. Furthermore, it was short-listed for the 2004 Canadian Film Centre's Resident Writer's Lab.
He is represented by Carl Liberman at The Characters Talent Agency.
