Hannah Dreams a Fire
Ben Snyder with Subcreations Productions is at it again, this time teaming up with Runaway Pictures of
Ocala Florida to shoot an extraordinary short written by Gabe Morris entitled Hannah Dreams A Fire.
Married off at an early age by her poor family, Hannah lives an isolated life with her elderly but
beloved husband. But when a troubling dream of a burning tree leads her to the village wise woman,
Hannah discovers a divine gift that will shape the course of her life.
The gorgeous locations of Ocala Florida will be the setting for the 1930 period drama, and the exceptional costume and wardrobe departments of the Ocala Public Theater will be providing the finishing touches on what will no doubt be an elaborate setting for the film. Director of Photography, Danny Eckler of Richmond VA and veteran Bill Burton of Atlanta, GA, will bring the story to life with his eye for the moving picture, this time shooting on Super 16mm. The film will later be transferred to High Definition (HD) to be edited by Justice Leak with Making Sticks out of Atlanta, GA.
Ben and Jenny Snyder last worked as 1st Assistant Director and Production Manager respectively, in Ocala on production for Swimming to the Moon, Runaway Pictures’ first short film. With Greg Thompson, President of Runaway Pictures and Heather Gifford, Executive Producer for Swimming on their side, the film is bound for success. Subcreations and Runaway Pictures plan to co-produce Hannah, the first collaborative effort for both companies.
Stay tuned!
